Que certaines personnes un peu « gaga » traitent leur compagnon animal comme s’il était un être humain, ce qui s’appelle de « l’anthropomorphisme » (http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropomorphisme) - certains, encore plus gaga, le faisant avec leur voiture ou autres objets ! – ne peut plus nous laisser ignorer le fait que les animaux ne sont pas si loin de nous, en matière d’émotions et de sentiments. Certes il existe des différences, des degrés, l’homme étant certainement le « plus » émotionnel et le « plus » sentimental d’entre les animaux (n’allons pas oublier que nous sommes des animaux, évolués certes, quoique des fois, on pourrait se demander à quoi cela lui sert).
Mais il n’est pas besoin d’être un expert scientifique pour témoigner que l’animal peut aussi ressentir la tendresse, l’amour, la peur, l’angoisse; être joyeux ou déprimé, avoir sa propre personnalité, y compris parmi ceux vivant à l’état sauvage, en de très nombreux point similaire aux humains.
Et il n’est pas un seul jour sans que nous découvrions combien certaines espèces ont des psychologies hautement évoluées, au point qu’il se pourrait bien qu’ils nous dépasseraient dans certains domaines, comme par exemple leur vie sociale, voir leur culture - les baleines ont un chant différent par groupe, et qui change de saison en saison. Et que dire de ces grands singes captifs qui sont capables d’exprimer leurs sentiments par la peinture ?
Alors, à tous ces « humains », si primitifs pour penser encore que l’animal n’est mu que par un « instinct », qu’il n’a ni émotions, ni sentiments… Je dis ceci : avant de parler, documentez-vous, apprenez, réfléchissez. Certains animaux le font bien, eux.
Nous ne sommes "propiétaire" de rien, surtout pas de cette planète. Alors commençons à la respecter.
Pour combien de temps encore allons-nous laisser les USA régler le monde, comme si nous n’étions que de sales gosses dans une cours de récréation ?
Pour combien de temps encore allons-nous fermer les yeux sur ce qu’est VRAIMENT ce pays, encore hanté par ses rêves de « conquête de l’ouest », ramassis de cow-boys armés, en quête d’ennemies à exterminer, piller, soumettre, embrigader dans sa course folle ?
Le « rêve américain » est devenu le « cauchemar planétaire » et son immense talent pour la destruction d’autrui à son propre bénéfice a même réussi à engendrer la perversion inverse chez ceux supposés lui résister. Car ne nous laissons pas leurrer, le « bloc communiste » n’est plus qu’un déchet toxique tout aussi cauchemardesque – personne ne pourra ignorer comment sont traités les travailleurs chinois qui, soit dit en passant, sont depuis longtemps, au service de sa majesté impérialiste d’Amérique, pour ne citer qu’eux. Personne ne peut ignorer le calvaire que vivent les habitants des pays autocratiques religieux, soumis à la torture pour mieux adorer un Dieu et en servir un autre, le Dieu « argent » dont se repaissent leurs maîtres.
Ce qui finalement boucle la boucle. Les peuples du monde aliénés à la globalisation de ce principe devenu universellement planétaire « Le labeur de tous pour le profit de quelques-uns » et ce, à n’importe quel prix – L’autodestruction inclus.
Et puisque ceux qui auraient encore un peu de latitude pour penser, préfèrent se saouler au pi de l’abondance à crédit, se repaitre de reality show abêtissant, avilissant, anesthésiant.
Alors que nous reste-il, nous, les quelques sains d’esprit, face à cette planète folle ?
Nous cacher dans un petit trou avec un minimum vital et attendre la chute de l’hydre tyrannique, en espérant ne pas être là où elle tombera…

The "American Dream" has become the "global nightmare" and its talent for the destruction of others to his own benefit even managed to produce the reverse perversion among those expected to resist. Let's not kid ourselves, the "communist bloc" is no more than a toxic waste, nightmarish as well - nobody can ignore how Chinese workers, to name a few, are treated. Who, by the way, have long been at the service of its imperialist majesty of America. Nobody can ignore the plight faced by the people of countries autocratically religious, tortured to better worship a God and serve another one, God "money" that feeds their masters.
That finally closes the loop. Peoples of the world alienated to the globalization of this universally planetary principle: "The labor of all for the benefit of a few," and at any price - self destruction included.
And since those who have a little more latitude to think, prefer to get drunk plenty of worse credit, feasting on stultifying, demeaning, anesthetic TV shows.
So what's left over for us, we, the healthy minds, facing this crazy planet?

Le jour où les gens arrêteront d’être égocentriques, narcissiques, égoïstes, frustrés par leur propre vie, hypnotisés par leur Tv, trop occupés à scruter leur nombril, peut-être verront-ils que le monde dans lequel ils vivent, leur monde, notre monde, est très sérieusement en danger.
De toutes parts, sur de très nombreux sujets, des avertissements, voir des signaux d’alerte sont lancés par des gens dont le sérieux n’est plus à démontrer.Santé, environnement, vie animale, économie, ressources énergétiques, nutrition, eau …. Etc. Tous, ou presque, ce qui touche la vie sur terre arrive à un point critique de déséquilibre. Arrive de plus en plus rapidement.
Et faute d’avoir agi assez tôt, ce qui aurait permis d’agir progressivement, il faut désormais agir rapidement et drastiquement. Mais il faut agir. Ou nous nous promettons des jours futurs cauchemardesques.
Cela a déjà commencé dans certaines régions du monde. Mais croire que cela ne viendra pas chez vous, chez nous, est une erreur cruciale de jugement.

The day people will stop being egocentric, narcissistic, selfish, frustrated with their own lives, hypnotized by their TV, too busy looking at their own navels, maybe they will see that the world they live in, their world, our world, is in serious danger.
From all sides, on many subjects, warnings, see alert signals, are launched by people whose seriousness is no more to prove. Health, environment, animal life, economy, energy, nutrition, water .... Etc.. All, or almost, affecting life on Earth comes at a critical point of imbalance. Increasingly quickly.
And failing to act early, which would have allowed to act progressively, we must now act quickly and drastically. But we must act. Or we promise ourselves nightmarish future days.
This has already started in some parts of the world. But to believe that it will not come to you, to us, is a crucial error of judgment.
Humanity has become ugly, more than ugly. its insatiable appetite for possession makes it to steal, kill, torture, lie, plot, eliminate, exterminate, destroy, pollute, eradicate, disrupt, poison ... without conscience or remorse.
And some happy pictures gonna not change anything, on the contrary, by hiding the grim reality, leaving many to believe that "all is not so bad."
Because yes, indeed, everything is going more and more evil. And only a strong and major reaction could still salvage something.
It is neither pessimism or optimism, or drama or romance.
This is pragmatism. It is open your eyes. This is CLEARLY understand what are the facts, issues, remedies.
I could be optimistic about the outcome of so many dramatic challenges we face and will face if a large majority stood up to say NO, to say STOP.
And there is some, courageous, who switch to resistance mode, in the name of their love for the "beautiful humanity." But too little, compared to the power and efficiency of those who perpetuate their crimes, almost with impunity.
So instead of blinding your mind with “photoshoped” kittens, reassuring yourself with promotional prayers, "end of series" jokes, get up! And say it too, by any means. SAY NO ! SAY STOP!
You must understand something.
Those who build our misfortune to come, are afraid of one thing: that light is shed on their actions, their real intentions. They spend millions of $ to try to have a good reputation on social networks and media. Do you think they do it for fun? No! They are afraid of you. They are afraid of the rumor.
Why ? Simple: their shareholders will turn their back, and withdraw from their business. their shares will collapse.
Already, many of these powerful multinationals stepped back because of a Facebook page and online petitions.
PUBLIC OPINION IS A PHENOMENAL POWER !

L’humanité est devenue laide, plus que laide. Son insatiable appétit de possession la fait voler, tuer, torturer, mentir, comploter, éliminer, exterminer, détruire, polluer, éradiquer, dérégler, empoisonner… Sans conscience ni remord.
Et ce n’est pas quelques images joyeuses qui y changeront quoi que ce soit, au contraire, en masquant cette sombre réalité, en laissant croire au plus grand nombre que « tout ne va pas si mal ».
Car si, justement, tout va de plus en plus mal. Et seule une réaction forte et MAJORITAIRE pourrait encore sauver quelque chose.
Il ne s’agit ni de pessimisme ou d’optimisme, ni de drame ou de romance.
Il s’agit de pragmatisme. Il s’agit d’ouvrir les yeux. Il s’agit de comprendre CLAIREMENT quels sont les faits, les enjeux, les remèdes.
Je pourrais être optimiste sur l’issue des nombreux et dramatiques problèmes auxquels nous faisons et devront faire face, si une très large majorité se levait pour dire NON, pour dire STOP.
Et il y en a, des courageux, des conscients, qui passent en mode résistance, au nom de leur amour de la « belle humanité ». Mais trop peu au regard de la puissance et de l’efficacité de ceux qui perpétuent leurs crimes en quasi toute impunité.
Alors, au lieu de vous masquer l’esprit avec des chatons « photoshopés », de vous rassurer avec des prières en promotions, des blagues « fin de séries », levez-vous ! Et dites, vous aussi, NON, STOP, par tout moyen.
Comprenez une chose, ceux qui construisent notre malheur à venir, ont peur d’une chose : que la lumière soit faite sur leur agissements, sur leur intentions réelles. Ils dépensent des millions de $ à essayer de se donner bonne réputation sur les réseaux sociaux et les médias. Pensez-vous qu’ils le font pour se faire plaisir ? Non ! Ils ont peur de vous. Ils ont peur de la rumeur.
Pourquoi? Simple: leurs actionnaires vont leur tourner le dos, et se retirer de leur entreprise. Leurs actions vont s'effondrer.
Déjà, beaucoup de ces puissantes multinationales ont fait marche-arrière à cause d’une page Facebook et de pétitions en ligne.

Oh yeah? So, if I understand your logic, peace, love, compassion, hope for a better world, it is one day a year! The rest of the year is "I don’t give a shit..."
So sorry, I cannot participate, am too busy trying that 2013 is not as bad as 2012. No easy feat, given all the forces left on the ground by these endless NEW YEAR refrains ...
2013 is a number on a calendar.
But there are other numbers that are not on your calendar ... The number of those who have suffered for your party to be joyful, those who gonna see 2013 as a long sequel of their 2012 misfortunes without a change, those who have no calendar, those who have neither Facebook nor clean water to drink ... those who were murdered in the general anonymity. The world is global, with misery and death as background.
Then, finally, since I'm here, I'll take the opportunity to make a wish.
That 2013 sees the rise of men and women of courage who stand up to say "STOP" to this unjust world, perverse, decadent world. That 2013 sees the efforts of all those who move their ass so the worst could be a "past", not a "future."
I have difficulties to understand why a so simple situation seems so complicated to fix.
A global solution was, and still is, available. (But the more we wait, the more the damages will take time to recover).
Let’s say it simple: There are two categories of people:
The dominant and the dominated. Or The peoples and the Controllers. An intermediary:
The politician and affiliated. A leverage:
Money An algorithm to settle the whole thing
Consumption (In its modern definition).and Banking. A propaganda tool:
Television and similar.
So what is the chain ?
People > Tv > Consumption and bank (your money goes in consumption or in the bank) > Money goes through the financial network to the top: major corporations > power to control everything > control of the Television and associated > Trust in the system > people > start of the loop.
How many of us distrusts the system, but still uses both channels (consumption and bank) of money's dragging?
Change that, and their control will collapse.
A proof?
Though it is theoretical, just imagine that EVERYONE who has some money in the bank system take it back for ONE day, Losses in the stock market will be immense. Do it on a week and it is a financial cataclysm.
And they know it. Have a look ! Everywhere is violent repression, pressure on the people, poverty as a domination tool.
But it is no question to push our world into chaos.
Let’s change our bank system > Solidary and ethical and local banking : money do not circulate from bottom to top, but horizontally.
Let’s change our way to consume > Local, ethic, solidary. Give the power back to our local farmer, small factory. (Why the F ck should I need a table made in china, or Suede? My neighbor the carpenter can do it as well) .

The World Bank yesterday released a report prepared by the Potsdam Institute spelling out what the world is likely to experience if it warmed by 4 degrees Celsius. The World Bank declares that 4 degrees is looking increasingly likely by the end of the century without some serious policy changes by governments globally.
The report essentially attempts to summarise much of the research literature that has built up since the 2007 fourth IPCC Assessment Report and puts it in the context of the path we’re on unless we start taking this problem seriously.
In short it does not make for pleasant reading. World Bank President Dr Jim Yong Kim says, “it is my hope that this report shocks us into action,” as he believes, “a 4 degree world can, and must, be avoided.”
For the World Bank, who’s primary purpose is to help the impoverished nations out of poverty,“the lack of action on climate change not only risks putting prosperity out of reach of millions of people in the developing world, it threatens to roll back decades of sustainable development.”
The chart below provides an impression of the alternative emission paths and their likely implications for temperature rise.
According to the report, we are on a path illustrated by the red line. However, if governments follow through on the pledges they’ve made in Copenhagen and Cancun then it would put us on the purple line, giving a mean temperature rise estimate of 3 degrees Celsius. But even this path still carries a 20 per cent chance of temperature exceeding 4 degrees. If governments don’t make good on their pledges then the red line would imply a 40 per cent chance of warming above four degrees.

Sea level rise
In terms of sea level rise, the latest research, unlike older assessments, is more confident that land-based ice, and not just thermal expansion of existing sea water, will play a significant role in sea level rise.
Older assessments were hopeful that increased snow falls might occur over Greenland and the Antarctic that could offset any melting from higher temperature. Unfortunately the rate of land ice contribution to sea level rise has increased by about a factor of three since the 1972–1992 period. And both the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets have been losing mass since at least since the early 1990s.
The chart below illustrates that our current emissions path (the red line) gives a mean estimate of a one metre rise in sea level by the end of this century. However sea level would continue to rise substantially after this point. For example, even if global warming was limited to 2 degrees Celsius, global mean sea level could still rise by between 1.5 and 4 meters above present-day levels by the year 2300.

Extreme weather events
Rising temperatures will lead to increased likelihood of extreme weather events and heat waves. The report notes that the past decade has seen an exceptional number of extreme heat waves around the world. These events, such as: Victoria’s 2009 heat wave and associated severe bushfire; Russia in 2010 (which claimed 55,000 lives); Europe in 2003 (70,000 premature deaths); and the US in 2012; were highly unusual with monthly and seasonal temperatures typically more than three standard deviations warmer than the local mean temperature for that period.
Another well understood feature of this warming will be a strengthening of the hydrological cycle because a warmer atmosphere can hold more water vapour. This tends to exacerbate droughts and flooding rains.
The table detailed below, taken from page 18 of the report, documents a series of extreme events over the past decade and the degree of confidence that these could be attributed to human induced climate change. Many of these events are so outside the bounds of past experience that it seems there is a medium to high likelihood that global warming has contributed to the event’s severity.

Food production
These extreme events, in conjunction with rising overall temperature, will take their toll on agriculture. While modelling prior to 2007 predicted some improvement in food production with warming of 1 to 3 degrees, according to the analysis, “research since 2007 is much less optimistic.” The report observes, “These new results and observations indicate a significant risk of high-temperature thresholds being crossed that could substantially undermine food security globally in a 4°C world.”

The effect of 4 degree warming would be disastrous for coral reefs. Coral reefs would stop growing at a CO2 concentration of about 450ppm, which we’re well on the way to hitting within the next few decades. And coral reefs are at high risk of dissolving by around 2050 unless we seriously turn our emissions growth around.
Overall, as you can probably appreciate, the report doesn’t make for particularly pleasant reading, and I haven’t even got into other problems highlighted such as ocean acidification, and spread of pathogens and vector-borne diseases. However that’s probably more than enough catastrophically bad news for one day.
Those readers of Climate Spectator who aren’t inclined towards communist conspiracy theories already know this is a serious problem. This report simply provides an exclamation point on the already apparent urgent need for action.
